Rubber rim tape

The third important element for your safety after the tire and the inner tube. The rim tape protects the inner tube from damage caused by spoke screws or any other metal residue contained in the rim

What rim tape should I use?

This rubber rim tape is perfect for old bicycle rims, or single-walled alloy rims. Rubber rim tapes are not suitable for double-walled rims because in this case the pressure exerted by the inner tube is too great.

Double wall rims require special rim tapes such as our Schwalbe High Pressure.

The rim tape must completely cover the hollow part of the rim. Otherwise, it may slip and expose the spoke holes.

For all types of rims, you can also use our Velox self-adhesive cotton rim tape as an alternative. In this case, there is no longer any risk of the rim tape moving under pressure while maintaining good heat resistance.
