René Herse 1950 tout nu le cadre

René Herse 1950 completely naked the frame

Thirty years ago, wicked hands "modernized" a superb bicycle from 1950 by the artisan frame builder René Herse. To do this, all the accessories were replaced with components from the period, which required the amputation of all the brazed attachment systems.

So, no more "Le Cyclo" rear derailleur support, no more pump support or dynamo hook, cut the central attachment of the rear mudguard.

Phew, all that remains is the rear light bracket under the seat tube, and the eyelets for attaching the mudguard rod clamps.

The pretty Herse blue has been covered with a dull metallic gray, partially stripped, now we can distinguish the painted RH letters, the much desired signature.

This very beautiful frame was sold in the Vélographe store.
